Happy New Year, everyone! I’m so excited to be back this month with more to share! As always, click the image below for the recap video!

Hellllllo everybody! Welcome to the May 2024 Recap for Liv’s Video and Design!
**cue intro**
Okay, yeah I know what you’re thinking. “Is this the script for your recap this month?”
No, it’s not.
My recaps are completely ad libbed. (As you can probably tell, HA.)
I’m on vacation this month, and am slam-packed busy, so I have no time to shoot, edit and post a video.
So this month’s recap is reduced to a boring blog post, yayyyyyyyy!!

Okay, so I feel like I was more productive this month than I actually was… what a surprise, am I right? I managed to get five things done that are worthy of being shown. (Two of which were completely spontaneous, so that’s fun!)
First of all, I was hired to photograph a graduation party for one of our friends. Here are a few photos. I won’t show a bunch though, due to privacy reasons.

I think the photoshoot went really well and I got payed a lot, so that’s GREAT! 🙂
Our friends also own a local restaurant and hired me to redesign their logo! It’s not finished yet, but here are the thumbnail sketches.

Now, these are the spontaneous ones…
Here’s some context:
I watch an artist on YouTube, and she created a webcomic called the Rogue’s Heir. (It’s kinda like a Christian allegory, which is cool!) Anyways, she posted a video where you could create your own character in her world. It was a “pause challenge” where skin tones, outfits, accessories, etc. would flash by really fast, and whichever one you paused on, you had to include in your character. So it was randomized, which is pretty cool. 🙂
Here’s the video… just in case you want to watch it.
And here’s my character!

I love how both art pieces turned out! Especially the first one. And the second one I finished in four hours (with practically no breaks!) which is insane, considering the speed at which I do art, hehe.
Lastly, I have two graphic design pieces from Maker U! The event was at the end of May, and it went super well! My dad and I were exhausted by the end of it, though… haha.
I designed a certificate to hand out to kids once they completed Maker U, and a title card thing (I’m not quite sure what to call it) for a slide show I did of the event!

Both turned out super well!
And… that’s it for this month! I have quite a bit of projects in the works, so hopefully you’ll get to see those soon!
Thanks everyone for reading, and I’ll see you next month!
Byeeeeee!
